Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operating room teams in a high-demand hospital setting. You will assist in preparing patients, instruments, and supplies for complex procedures, with emphasis on aseptic technique and teamwork with the RN circulator.

The role requires completion of an accredited surgical technology program, BLS, NBSTSA or NCCT certification, and several years of OR experience, including specialized training in neurosurgery/spine, cardiothoracic,

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or successful completion of military training in Surgical Technology.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider.
• Current NBSTSA or NCCT certification.
• 5 years operating room experience as a surgical technologist.
• 2 years of specialized training in neurosurgery/spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, complex ortho, or robotics.
• Ability to address age-specific patient needs.

Mansioni

• Maintain aseptic technique and condition of supplies and instruments.
• Assist in obtaining and organizing supplies during procedures.
• Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization.
• Assist RN circulator with patient prep, supplies, and room turnover.
• Work with heightened procedures: neurosurgery, spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, robotics.
• Monitor sterility and document charges for supplies and equipment.
• Participate in staff training, meetings, and performance improvement.
• Serve as a preceptor and clinical resource; contribute to unit projects.
