Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will prepare materials, equipment, and the sterile field to assist surgeons during procedures, while maintaining aseptic technique and patient safety.

Must complete an accredited Surgical Technology program and obtain BLS within 6 months. No prior experience required, but strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months (as required).
• Ability to maintain aseptic technique and sterile field.

Responsibilities

• Provides clean, safe, efficient area for optimal patient care in the OR.
• Assists in preparing materials, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
• Sets up the room and operates equipment used in procedures.
• Transports patients and supplies as needed.
• Maintains readiness of specialty carts and ensures equipment sterility.
