Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team in Arizona. You will scrub, prepare and maintain instruments and supplies, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety under the supervision of the RN and in collaboration with the surgeon.

Requirements include graduation from an approved Surgical Technology program, NBSTSA certification within one year, and BLS at hire. Prior OR experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth across specialties.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited or military surgical technology program.
• Certification in Surgical Technology from NBSTSA required within one year of hire.
• Current BLS competency required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Select, prepare, and maintain instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
• Function in scrub role and collaborate with RN and surgeon.
• Apply sterile/aseptic technique and adapt to unpredictable perioperative situations.
