Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons in operating rooms, prepare patients and rooms, and support the surgical team throughout procedures in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining the sterile field, passing instruments, labeling specimens, and helping with room turnover. The role requires HIPAA/OSHA compliance, infection-control discipline, and teamwork across the OR team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of accredited surgical technology program or TS-C certification option.
• Two years experience as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies; ensure sterility.
• Maintain sterile field and assist during procedures by passing instruments.
• Provide pre-operative support and patient care.
• Perform instrument counts, label specimens, and assist with wound dressings.
• Assist with room turnover and supply management; support administrative staff as needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection-control policies.
