Memorial Health Care Center is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to scrub, gown, and glove for operative procedures and assist surgeons with sterile instruments and supplies. The role requires adherence to sterile technique, accurate instrument counts, and active participation in patient safety and team collaboration.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, assisting with specimen labeling, and maintaining a sterile field.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in surgical technology or military-trained equivalent.
• Completion of an approved NCCT/AST program as a surgical technologist; certification preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required upon hire and ongoing.

Responsabilités

• Efficiently prepares equipment and packs for the operative procedure.
• Applies aseptic technique during procedures including scrubbing, gowning and gloving.
• Identifies and obtains needed supplies and equipment.
• Assists in ensuring correct sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
• Identifies and labels specimens appropriately.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Cleans up room after cases; maintains specialty carts and mandatory competencies.
• Attends in-service education to learn new procedures and skills.
• Demonstrates knowledge of hospital mission, policies, and ethical standards.
