Job summary

Baptist Surgery Center in Madison, MS is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. The role supports surgeons, nurses, and assistants by preparing sterile fields, passing instruments, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.

Qualified candidates will have completed an accredited Surgical Technologist program, hold certification with BLS, and possess at least 2 years of OR experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical technologist program.
• Certification and BLS required.
• At least 2 years' OR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures.
• Sets up sterile field with instruments, drapes, and solutions.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Performs pre-procedure skin prep and safety checks on equipment.
• Assembles sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment.
• Assists with patient positioning, instrument passing, and specimen handling.
• Maintains OR cleanliness and restocks supplies after procedures.
