Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a day shift, full-time Surgical Technician (OR) to support the surgeon in the sterile field and perform scrub duties. The role requires CST or NCCT certification, and BLS within 14 days of hire, plus annual CEU hours.

You will assist with circulating duties under RN supervision, ensure sterile supplies are ready, and adhere to hospital policies to maintain patient safety and quality care.

Formación

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT certification.
• Annual 15 hours of continuing education required to remain qualified to practice as a surgical technologist in NJ.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsabilidades

• Assists surgeon in sterile field according to AORN Standards of Practice Recommendations.
• Performs scrub duties in varied specialties/procedures.
• Ensures that the case has the necessary sterile supplies and equipment for that surgeon and procedure.
• Assists with circulating duties under the direct supervision of the RN circulator assigned to the patient.
• Ensure adherence to Hospital, State, and departmental policies and procedures.
