Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a day shift, full-time Surgical Technician (OR) to support the operating room team. The role involves assisting surgeons, scrubbing in varied procedures, and ensuring sterile supplies and equipment are ready for each case.

The ideal candidate will hold CST or NCCT certification, maintain BLS, and complete ongoing continuing education to stay qualified to practice in NJ.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT certification required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Annually complete 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified to practice as a surgical technologist in the State of NJ.

Responsabilités

• Assists surgeon in the sterile field according to AORN Standards of Practice Recommendations.
• Performs scrub duties in varied specialties/procedures.
• Ensures the case has the necessary sterile supplies and equipment for the surgeon and procedure.
• Assists with circulating duties under the direct supervision of the RN circulator assigned to the patient.
• Ensures adherence to Hospital, State, and departmental policies and procedures.
