Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of surgical technology or LPN with proper licensure.
• Experience in an operating room is preferred.
• National certification as Surgical Technologist preferred.
• An LPN must hold an active, unencumbered license and state board privileges.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing and evaluating patient care with surgical teams.
• Prepare sterile field, ensure supplies and equipment are ready for procedures.
• Assist with patient preparation and instrument handling during surgery.
• Maintain instrument integrity and aseptic technique to maximize patient safety.
• Participate in safety measures and adapt to changing duties as needed.
