Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room, ensuring sterile environments and safe patient handling from prep to post-op transfer. You will pass instruments, maintain sterile fields, and document procedures for accurate medical records in a high-acuity setting.

The role requires graduating from an accredited surgical technology program and BLS certification within 90 days of hire, with opportunities to contribute to diverse and inclusive patient

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Certifications via the National Board of Surgical Technology, National Center for Competency Testing, or military/public health programs are acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with necessary tools and maintain sterility.
• Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
• Handle and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Monitor patient safety, assist in positioning, and ensure proper preparation.
• Sterilize and prepare surgical tools following infection control protocols.
• Document procedures accurately for medical records.
• Support patient recovery by transferring and monitoring post-surgery.
