Job summary

Memorial Community Hospital and Health System is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team. This role supports physicians during procedures, maintains sterile environments, and ensures patient care across all ages.

Responsibilities include passing instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, sterilizing tools, prepping trays, supporting Preop and Postop staff, stocking supplies, and taking on-call shifts with a 30-minute response.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of accredited Surgical Tech program OR on-the-job trained.
• Current BLS certification required; CST preferred.
• Minimum 2 years OR scrub/sterile processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during procedures by passing instruments.
• Apply aseptic technique and ensure supplies are available.
• Clean, sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments.
• Maintain sterile trays and packs; ensure readiness.
• Support Preop and Postop nursing staff, including transport.
• Stock supplies and assist with inventory and charge entry.
• Take on-call shifts with 30-minute response time.
