Job summary

Froedtert Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist the surgical team in the operating room at the Milwaukee Froedtert Hospital facility. This full/part-time position works on a 0.9 FTE schedule (36 hours per week) on the night shift with rotating holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities include assisting the surgeon, nurse, and anesthesiologist in the patient care throughout the operating and birthing rooms.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program is required.
• Completion of Military Operating Room Specialist course or Froedtert Health apprentice II program required.

Experience Required

Clinical rotations provided by surgical technologist program is required.

Experience Preferred

Formal Externship Or 1 Year Experience Is Preferred.

Education Required

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Post high school education, certification or diploma required. Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, completion of Military Operating Room Specialist course or the Froedtert Health sponsored apprentice II program required.

Licensure Required

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
