Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for Outpatient Surgery Center (PRN). You will support the surgical team by providing sterile instruments and supplies, maintaining aseptic technique, and preparing cases with adaptable equipment.

Requirements include an Associate degree in Surgical Technology or similar, CST/NCCT certification, and BLS if applicable; 1 year perioperative experience preferred. Mercy Health offers comprehensive benefits and professional development.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred)
• Must be certified by CST, NBSTA or TS-C (TS-C not accepted for Cincinnati)
• NCCT (required)
• Registered CST with Virginia Board of Medicine (required if currently reside in Virginia)
• One year perioperative/operating room or related military surgical technology experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instrument for the procedure.
• Provides complete case preparation with the ability to adapt of special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
