Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital in Needham is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room team. You will supply sterile instruments, organize supplies, and assist circulating nurses in maintaining stock, contributing to a family-centered perioperative environment.

The role requires 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience; pediatric experience preferred; certification or military-equivalent training accepted.

Position Summary/ Department Summary:

We are seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the team within our Operating Room at Needham.

• Collecting and removing contaminated items at completion of cases.
• Assisting circulating nurses in maintaining adequate stock of sterile supplies.
• Working collaboratively in a family-centered peri-operative environment.
• Working 10-hour shifts with short-call requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

• 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

License/Certifications:

• A certificate from a Surgical Technologist program OR Individuals employed as surgical technologists in a surgical facility on or before July 1, 2013, OR Individuals who have completed a training program for surgical technology in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard of the United States or in the United States Public Health Service.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
