Job summary

Provident Behavioral Health is seeking a skilled surgical technologist to support direct and indirect patient care in operative settings. You will prepare instruments, set up sterile fields, assist during surgeries, and ensure patient safety and privacy.

You will mentor peers and students, contribute to quality improvement, participate in on-call duties, and adapt to surgeon preferences while maintaining calm and focused performance.

Qualifications

• Certification in BLS within 30 days (AHA).
• Associate's degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology.
• Open to new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures, ensuring readiness and functionality.
• Set up sterile fields and assist during surgeries, adapting to surgeon preferences and case needs.
• Scrub on a variety of procedures, demonstrating confidence and proficiency, including running Mayo stands independently.
• Anticipate intraoperative needs, manage unexpected events, and ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Mentor staff and students, fostering team collaboration and effective communication.
• Participate in on-call duties, respond promptly, and adhere to hospital policies.
• Contribute to quality improvement, conflict resolution, and a positive work environment.
