Job summary

Beacon Health Options is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the care of patients undergoing surgical procedures, maintain sterile technique, and support the surgical team. The role involves handling instruments, anticipating surgeon needs, and ensuring a safe operative environment.

Responsibilities include setting up supplies, assisting with instrument counts, and aiding with room turnover and post-case cleanup, under supervision.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of a recognized school of surgical technology.
• Maintain 15 hours of continuing education annually.
• Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/CPR) within 3 months of hire.
• 2–5 years experience as a surgical technologist preferred.
• Preferred membership in a professional association.

Responsibilities

• Maintain highest standard of sterile technique in all aspects of surgical care.
• Assist surgeon by anticipating needs and expediting procedures.
• Prepare room and instruments; perform instrument counts with circulator.
• Assist RN with cleanup and room turnover after cases.
• Contribute to organization and department efficiency; complete assigned tasks.
