Job summary

Advocate Health Cabarrus - Surgery Room is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operative team. The role applies surgical technology skills to assist in patient care in the surgical suite, maintaining a safe environment and sterile field.

The position is full-time, weekdays, 36 hours per week, with a pay range of $26.55 to $39.85 per hour and sign-on bonus eligibility for experienced staff with a one-year commitment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Applies aseptic technique and maintains sterile fields throughout procedures.
• Assists in obtaining supplies and instruments before, during, and after surgeries.
• Supports RN circulator in patient prep, instrument handling, and room turnover.
• Performs duties per department policies and ensures proper documentation.
• Monitors sterility and reports any issues; participates in improvement initiatives.
• Attends trainings and contributes to policy/procedure development.
