Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the perioperative team in the intraoperative period. The role offers flexible shifts to fit different lifestyles and career goals within our operating rooms.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate's Degree or Surgical Technology credential, with BLS certification. The position emphasizes teamwork, patient safety and continuous professional growth in a modern surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Independently scrubs basic surgical procedures.
• Demonstrates ability to problem solve during procedures.
• Applied knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of fundamentals of sterile technique during surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile environment and asepsis consistently.
• Organizes supplies and equipment for efficient operations.
• Ensures safety and regulatory compliance in the department.
• Manages equipment and supply charges accurately.
• Turns rooms over and sets up for the next patient.
• Performs sterilization and documentation as required.
• Supports scrub roles and teaches students when needed.
