Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to join the operating room team. You will be integral to the perioperative group, assisting in intraoperative care under RN supervision, and supporting sterile technique and equipment handling.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology certificate required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Demonstrated sterile technique and perioperative teamwork.
• Ability to scrub basic surgical procedures and handle instruments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile environment and asepsis throughout procedures.
• Assist with supplies, equipment, and room turnover efficiently.
• Ensure safe environment for patients and staff; follow policies.
• Equipment charges and instrument sterilization per policy.
• Scrub duties for medical students and residents; support OR turnover.
