Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our Lake Norman OR team. This part-time role supports the Registered Nurse circulator, assists with instrument preparation, and maintains aseptic technique across procedures.

The position offers a sign-on bonus eligibility based on criteria, with three 12-hour shifts weekly. Applicants must have surgical tech certification and 5 years OR experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology.
• Minimum 5 years operating room experience as a surgical technologist.
• Current certification required.
• Meets all ST III qualifications of Surgical Tech Ladder.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic technique and prepare supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Assist RN circulator and organize room turnover.
• Document charges and monitor sterilization and equipment readiness.
• Attend in-services and participate in performance improvement.
• Serve as a preceptor and clinical resource.
• Lead unit clinical projects as needed.
