Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support sterile processing and intraoperative procedures. You will prepare, monitor, and maintain a sterile field, assisting surgeons and maintaining instrument and supply readiness.

The role requires OR experience, CST is preferred, and you will work a Tues-Fri shift from 6:30am to 5:00pm with no weekends or on-call. Strong teamwork and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program is required.
• Military Surgical Technology program may substitute for an accredited Surgical Technology program for specific sites.
• Annual mandatory education requirement must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Promotes positive relations with patients, visitors, families, physicians, customers and co-workers.
• Assists in development and implementation of short and long-range initiatives.
• Ensures staff compliance with standards relating to operations, safety and patient care.
• Maintains appropriate supply levels of specialty supplies and instruments.
• Maintains instrument and supply levels to ensure timely availability and delivery.
• Maintains service line equipment for optimum operation and safety.
• Uses budgetary resources within guidelines and variances.
• Monitors quality of care and patient satisfaction; supports Continuous Quality Improvement.
• Promotes a safe work environment and positive staff development.
• Collaborates with Medical Staff and coordinates loaner sets.
• Maintains consignment inventory and Sterile Processing data.
