Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist to join the perioperative team at Methodist Women's Hospital. This casual position supports preoperative preparation, sterile technique, and intraoperative scrub duties on 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities include assembling supplies, transferring medications, maintaining sterile fields, and collaborating with the perioperative team to ensure patient safety and efficient surgical care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program required.
• For MJE Surgery Main: Completion of a Military Surgical Technology program may be substituted for an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Annual mandatory education requirement.
• 2+ years of current operating room experience or CST level I criteria for certain sites.

Responsibilities

• Preoperative preparation and ensuring sterile field.
• Assemble supplies and equipment for procedures; open sterile supplies.
• Transfer medications and solutions to sterile field per policy.
• Scrub during operative procedures and maintain a sterile field.
• Assist with draping and patient positioning; monitor progress of operation.
