Job summary

Memorial Regional Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to assist surgeons and nurses in the operating room. You will prepare the OR, assemble supplies, and support aseptic technique throughout procedures.

The position requires an Associate degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology, BLS, and certification by CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT, with VA CST eligibility if residing in Virginia. One year of experience is expected, with a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree or Vocational Certification in Surgical Technology
• One year of experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Must be certified by CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT and BLS
• Virginia-registered CST if residing in VA

Responsibilities

• Assemble supplies and equipment for operative procedures
• Provide sterile supplies to surgical team during procedures
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout surgery
• Document implanted devices, catheters, drains and packing
• Prepare and perform skin prep as indicated
• Assist with pre/post procedure room cleaning
• Demonstrate understanding of advance directives and MIS/robotics usage
