Job summary

Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center in Virginia is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to assist surgeons and nurses with aseptic technique and procedure prep. You will prepare the OR with routine supplies and equipment for surgical cases.

The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent, BLS, and certification (CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT). Experience of one year as a Surgical Technologist is needed, including familiarity with MIS, laparoscopy, robotics and patient directives.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology (required).
• One year of experience as a Surgical Technologist (required).
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Certification by CST / NBSTA / TS-C / NCCT required; Virginia CST if residing in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Assemble supplies and equipment required for operative and invasive procedures.
• Provide supplies to the surgical team and maintain aseptic technique during procedures.
• Report implanted devices, catheters, and drains to the circulator.
• Prepare and perform surgical skin prep as indicated.
• Assist with pre- and post-procedure cleaning of the operative room.
• Demonstrate knowledge of equipment, MIS, laparoscopy, and robotics.
