Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for St. Francis Medical Center in Richmond. The role supports the surgical team by providing sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment to enable safe operative procedures.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate or equivalent in Surgical Technology, with CST/NBSTA/TS-C or NCCT certification and Virginia CST eligibility if residing in Virginia. Benefits include competitive pay and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology (required)
• Must be certified by CST/NBSTA or TS-C (TS-C not accepted for Surgical Tech jobs in Cincinnati), NCCT (required)
• Registered CST with the Virginia Board of Medicine (required if currently reside in Virginia)

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instrument for the procedure.
• Provides complete case preparation with the ability to adapt of special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
