Qualifications

• Associates or equivalent in Surgical Technology required.
• BLS (American Heart Association) certified.
• CST / NBSTA / TS-C / NCCT certification required.
• VA CST certification only if currently reside in Virginia.
• One year of experience as a Surgical Technologist required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble supplies and equipment for operative procedures.
• Provide supplies to the surgical team and maintain aseptic technique.
• Report implanted devices, catheters, drains and packing to circulator.
• Prepare and perform skin prep as indicated by procedure.
• Assist with pre- and post-procedure cleaning of the OR.
• Demonstrate understanding of Advance Directives.
• Demonstrate knowledge of equipment, lasers, MIS, laparoscopy and robotics.
