Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Surgical Technologist II at Fairfield Hospital to assist surgeons and nurses in the operating room. You will prepare the OR, assemble supplies, and maintain aseptic technique.

Requires an Associates degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology, and CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT certification plus BLS; Virginia CST certification may apply if residing in VA. Minimum one year of experience is required. Mercy Health offers competitive pay, benefits, PTO, and tuition support.

Qualifications

• Associates degree, vocational certification, or military certificate in surgical technology.
• One year of experience as a surgical technologist.
• Certification: CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT; BLS; Virginia CST exception if residing in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Assemble supplies and equipment required for the operative procedures.
• Provide supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintain aseptic technique.
• Report implanted devices, catheters, drains, and packing to circulator.
• Prepare and perform surgical skin prep as indicated by procedure.
• Assist with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room.
• Demonstrates knowledge of MIS, laparoscopy, and robotics.
