Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI is seeking a Surgical Tech to join our inpatient surgery team. You will prepare the Operating Room before surgeries, assist surgeons during procedures, and anticipate their needs in a fast-paced environment within a Level 1 Trauma Center.

The role includes working 4 10-hour shifts, with weekend, weekday and holiday on-call requirements. A sign-on bonus up to $15,000 may apply, along with relocation assistance and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program is required.
• Two years of Surgical Technologist experience may be considered in lieu of the program.
• Basic Life Support/CPR certification within 6 months required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Operating Room prior to surgery in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist surgeons during surgery and anticipate their needs.
• Work with world-renowned surgeons within a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Prepare for and perform complex surgical procedures.

Education

Surgical Technologist program

Two years Surgical Technologist experience may be considered in lieu of program

Experience as Surgical Technologist preferred
