Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Surgical Technologist to join the Labor and Delivery team at Atrium Health Cabarrus. You will assist the Registered Nurse circulator, prepare patients and instruments, and help ensure sterile technique and efficient room turnover.

Responsibilities include aseptic technique, instrument handling, documentation, and participation in policy development and performance improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• Graduate of accredited surgical technology program or military OR Operating Room training.
• Current surgical technology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic technique and its application throughout procedures.
• Assist in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments before, during and after surgery.
• Support RN circulator in patient prep, instrument assembly and room turnover.
• Perform duties according to department policy and procedure.
• Monitor sterility of supplies and document charges accurately.
• Document sterilization activities and participate in performance improvement.
