Job summary

Beacon Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the care of patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will act as the primary scrub person, handling instruments and maintaining a sterile field under supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting the surgeon, preparing and organizing supplies, and supporting the anesthesia and nursing teams to ensure efficient operative flow. A recognized surgical technology program and BCLS/CPR support are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Maintain 15 hours of continuing education annually.
• BCLS/CPR within 3 months of hire.
• 2+ years surgical technologist experience preferred.
• Professional association membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist as primary scrub person during surgical procedures and handle instruments.
• Maintain sterile field and ensure aseptic technique throughout operations.
• Prepare rooms and supplies; assist with instrument counts and turnover.
• Support nursing and surgeon teams to optimize operative flow.
• Adhere to department policies and communicate needs clearly.
