Job summary

Huebner-Ambulatory-Surgery-Center-1 is seeking a motivated Scrub Tech to join our surgical team in a fast-paced environment. You will maintain a sterile field, assist surgeons and nurses, and help ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include passing instruments, preparing ORs, scrubbing and gowning, and supporting instrument counts and post-procedure restocking. Prior military or healthcare experience is a plus; join us to contribute to excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a post-high school Surgical Technology program.
  • CST or CORT certification required.
  • One year of experience in a surgical setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a sterile field and uphold aseptic technique.
  • Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, supplies, sutures, and equipment.
  • Prepare equipment, instruments, and operating rooms before procedures.
  • Assist with scrubbing, gowning, and gloving for the surgical team.
  • Position and prepare patients for surgery while ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Count instruments, sponges, and sharps; restock the operating room after procedures.
  • Document accurately and in a timely manner; support supply maintenance.
  • Support compliance with accreditation and departmental standards.
