Qualifications

• Experience: Less than 1 year preferred; CST preferred; CPR certification within 90 days required

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties for simple to complex surgical interventions.
• Assesses instrument, equipment and supply needs for each case and ensures plan of care is implemented to standards.
• Maintains aseptic technique and patient safety throughout peri-operative phase.
• Assists in on-the-job training of new team members.
• Ensures proper labeling and handling of specimens; aids in equipment checks and maintenance.
