Job summary

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Tech to support the Operating Room team at St. Anthony Hospital in Shawnee. Under RN supervision, you will prepare the OR, gather supplies, and assist with procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care.

The role requires a high school diploma or nursing education/licensing equivalency, OR experience or eligible program completion, and strong aseptic technique. 40 hours weekly with variable shifts, and a commitment to teamwork and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma/GED or nursing education/licensing equivalency.
• Experience in operating room setting or approved surgical tech program acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN and healthcare team in executing plan of care.
• Prepare and organize equipment, supplies, and instruments for procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and proper handling of specimens and instruments.
• Communicate patient status and concerns to the RN.
• Document quality controls and unit standards.
• Demonstrate teamwork and prioritization in a fast-paced OR environment.
