Job summary

SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City is seeking an Operating Room Technician to support the OR team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include preparing equipment, assisting with procedures, and ensuring sterile technique while maintaining patient flow and safety.

The role requires completion of a technical program for OR technicians and relevant certifications (BLS HCP, CST, NCCT, NRST). Evening shift, regular employee status, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a technical program for operating room technicians.
• State of Work Location requires certification as per facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Practices and implements the technical components of patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Collaborates with the RN and other healthcare professionals to implement a plan of care.
• Prepares equipment, supplies, and resources based on an individualized plan of care.
• Communicates information to the RN regarding patients.
• Maintains aseptic technique and operates surgical equipment and instruments.
• Documents quality controls and maintains organized tasks within the shift.
