The role requires graduation from an accredited surgical technology program and NBSTSA certification with BLS. Virginia-based hires must hold VA state licensure prior to starting orientation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• VA state license required if working in Virginia; NBSTSA certification and BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) required.
• Experience demonstrating sterile and aseptic technique and safe operating room practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during invasive procedures under supervision.
• Ensure operating room safety, proper equipment function, and instrument readiness.
• Maintain sterile technique and support patient safety throughout procedures.
• Prepare, pass, and manage instruments and supplies as needed.
