Graduates of accredited surgical technology programs are required; NBSTSA and BLS certifications are mandatory, and Virginia licensure must be obtained prior to start.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program required.
• Virginia state license required prior to start.
• NBSTSA certification required.
• BLS certification (AHA) required prior to orientation.
• Ability to provide care across the age span with emphasis on patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and maintain sterile technique during invasive procedures.
