Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our surgical services team. You will participate in preparing the OR, setting up for procedures, and assisting the surgical team during operations.

On-call duties begin after orientation with potential weekend and shift variations. Requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program or completion of Allina Health Apprentice program, with BLS certification and state licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program is required or completion of the Allina Health Surgical Technologist Apprentice program.
• Surgical Technologist experience or apprenticeship is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the OR and sets up for procedures.
• Identifies supplies, instruments and equipment needed.
• Maintains a sterile field and aseptic technique.
• Assists the physician in the scrub role during surgeries and takes call after orientation.
