Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the Operating Room team in Buffalo, MN. You will assist in the sterile setup, instrument handling, and supporting the surgical team during procedures. Expect a 10-hour day/evening shift with on-call coverage and a .9 FTE schedule.

Ideal candidates bring an accredited Surgical Technology degree and 1+ year of experience, with certification within 1 year of hire. Union contract and non-union options may apply.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Vocational degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited program.
• 1+ year of Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
• Must meet AS/TS-C or NBSTSA certifications within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Participates as surgical team member; prepares OR and procedures setup.
• Identifies supplies, instruments and equipment needed for procedures.
• Maintains sterile field and aseptic technique; assists physician during surgery.
• Handles medications and specimens per policy; assists with counts and instrument accounting.
• Other duties as assigned.
