Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist to join our Minneapolis team. You will work closely with highly skilled surgical teams, preparing the OR, handling instruments, and supporting cardiovascular procedures with accuracy and focus.

This role requires completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program and may involve being on-call after orientation. We value safety, adherence to sterile technique, and collaborative patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (AS or vocational).
• Preferred: 1+ year of Surgical Technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Participates as a surgical team member.
• Prepares the OR and sets up for procedures.
• Identifies supplies, instruments and equipment needed.
• Maintains safe environment for patient and staff.
• Follows aseptic technique standards of practice.
• Handles medications and specimens according to policies.
• Assists the physician in the scrub role during procedures.
• Maintains a sterile field and counts instruments.
• Communicates needs to physician and circulator during procedures.

Education

Associate's or Vocational degree graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program
