Allina Health seeks a Surgical Technologist to join a fast-paced OR team in Minnesota. You will assist the surgical team, prepare the OR, and manage instruments and supplies while maintaining aseptic standards. On-call duties may be required after orientation.

Requirements include a accredited Surgical Technology program or completion of the Allina Health Surgical Technologist Apprentice program, and BLS certification within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

• Surgical technologist program completed.
• Oriented to sterile technique and patient safety.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Responsabilités

• Participates as a surgical team member.
• Prepares the OR and sets up for procedures.
• Identifies supplies, instruments, and equipment needed.
• Maintains a safe environment for patient and staff.
• Follows aseptic technique standards.
• Complies with regulatory requirements for instrument care.
• Handles medications and specimens per policy.
• Assists physician in scrub role during procedures.
• Maintains a sterile field and anticipates needs.
• Performs counts of sponges and sharps.
• Accounts for all instruments on the field.
• Communicates needs to physician and circulator.
• Other duties as assigned.
