Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Surgical Technician for the Mount Carmel East campus. You will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to prepare and maintain the surgical field and assist the surgeon during operations.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, sterile technique, room turnover, and on-time starts, with responsibilities including training associates and ensuring a safe environment for patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a surgical technology program with relevant certification.
• Certification through NBSTSA, NCCT, or equivalent credential.
• LPN license valid in Ohio if trained as a practical nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon and maintain sterile field during procedures.
• Support room turnover and ensure first-case on-time starts.
• Train/orient associates as directed by Clinical Educator.
• Maintain a safe environment and adhere to sterile techniques.
