Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio seeks a Surgical Technician (Days) to support the operating room under RN supervision. The role focuses on preparing the surgical field, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting the surgeon during procedures.

Eligible candidates will graduate from a surgical technology program, hold NBSTSA/NCCT certification or be a graduate of a practical nursing program with current Ohio PN licensure, and possess BLS.

Formación

• Education: Graduate of a surgical technology program; certificate through NBSTSA or NCCT, or graduate of a practical nursing program.
• Licensure/ Certification: If PN graduate, current Ohio PN license in good standing.
• BLS healthcare provider training required.

Responsabilidades

• Assists in meeting goals for surgery department, including room turnover and first-case on-time starts.
• Trains/mentors associates as directed by Clinical Educator.
• Maintains a safe environment for the patient.
• Maintains sterile techniques.

Educación

Graduate of surgical technology program

Certificate of Surgical Technology NBSTSA/NCCT or practical nursing graduate with Ohio PN license

BLS healthcare provider training
