Job summary

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Surgical Technologist for day shifts at our Celebration/Orlando area campus. You will anticipate surgeon needs, maintain aseptic technique, assemble supplies, and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong written and spoken English for clinical tasks.
• Solid aseptic/sterile technique and instrumentation knowledge.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates needs of the surgeon and informs circulating nurse.
• Maintains high standards for cost containment.
• Assembles supplies, equipment, and medications prior to procedures.
• Supports satisfaction and responds to complaints promptly.
• Monitors aseptic technique and corrects breaches.
• Identifies environmental concerns and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Supervises team members and assists with orientation.
• Promotes safety and manages emergencies.
• Follows infection control practices.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Assists surgical team as needed.
• Directs room turnover and operating room turnover times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
