Job summary

The Staff Pad partners with a Manchester, TN healthcare organization to recruit a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a full-time days role with on-call duties. You will assist surgeons and the surgical team before, during, and after procedures while upholding sterile technique.

Responsibilities include preparing sterile rooms, passing instruments, counts, and ensuring equipment readiness. This role offers comprehensive compensation and benefits in a collaborative OR environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and maintain sterile technique and infection prevention standards.
• Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts with the circulating nurse.
• Clean, restock, and prepare operating rooms between procedures.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report issues.
• Handle and label surgical specimens per protocols.
