Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our perioperative team. The role prepares sterile dressings and instruments, assists with terminal cleaning, handles surgical specimens, and responds to emergencies with composure.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills required.
• Completion of validation skills required.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment and sterile field setup.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques.
• Ability to precept and act as a resource in multiple surgical areas.
• Minimum of one year scrub experience in a multi-disciplinary surgical service.

Responsibilities

• Prepares sterile dressings and cleans instruments for terminal sterilization.
• Assists teammates with terminal room cleaning and prep for next patient.
• Handles surgical specimens with high accuracy and responds to emergencies.
• Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
