Job summary

Hillcrest Hospital Claremore is hiring a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) for day shift, full-time employment in Claremore, OK. The role involves preparing the operating room, anticipating surgeon needs, and maintaining sterile technique under RN supervision.

The position requires graduation from an accredited CST program, a high school diploma or GED, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. One year of experience and NBSTSA/NCCT certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and work closely with the circulating nurse.
• Terminally clean the operating room after each procedure and restock supplies.
• Under the direction of a registered nurse, carry out all scrub duties as outlined in the department procedure manual.
• Create and maintain a sterile field and provide instruments to the surgeon.
