Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System in Claremore, OK is seeking a day-shift, full-time Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to join Hillcrest Hospital Claremore. The role supports operating room readiness and patient care under RN supervision.

You will prepare rooms, anticipate surgeon needs, maintain a sterile field, and assist with instrument handling. Requirements include graduating from an accredited CST program, a high school diploma or GED, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Certified Surgical Technology Program.
• High School diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and work closely with the circulating nurse.
• Terminally clean the operating day after each procedure and restock supplies.
• Under the direction of a registered nurse, carry out all scrub duties as outlined in the department procedure manual.
• Create and maintain a sterile field and provide instruments to the surgeon.
