Job summary

Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic in Cary, NC seeks a Surgical Technologist to join our ambulatory surgery center team. You will prep and maintain sterile operating rooms, assist surgeons, and support the sterile processing team to ensure efficient procedures.

The ideal candidate has a graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, BLS, and at least 1 year of surgical experience; CST is preferred and strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up sterile surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures
• Assist surgeons and operating room staff during surgeries, ensuring aseptic technique is maintained
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and pass instruments efficiently
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures
• Handle specimens appropriately and ensure accurate labeling
• Clean, disinfect, and restock ORs between procedures
• Collaborate closely with nurses, anesthesia, and sterile processing teams
• Uphold infection control standards and ensure regulatory compliance
