Inova Fairfax Hospital Operating Room is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist 3 to join the team. This full-time role offers varied day shifts with a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. Qualified candidates possess VA-registered Surgical Technologist credentials, CST/TS-C certification, and BLS. Prior OR experience and trauma exposure are valued.

Qualifications

• Two years Surgical Technologist experience.
• Registered Surgical Technologist in VA.
• CST or TS-C certification; BLS on start.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates advanced knowledge and practice in the role of the first scrub.
• Anticipates required instrumentation for each step of a surgical procedure.
• Expedites the operative procedure by anticipating the needs of the surgeon.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of aseptic and surgical techniques.
• Performs in preceptor role for new & experienced staff in the scrub role.
• Provides working knowledge of powered instrumentation, video equipment, microscopes, and complex instrumentation, equipment. Assists in the evaluation of new products and equipment.

Surgical Technologist 2 Job Responsibilities

• Experience: One (1) year Surgical Technologist experience.
• Licensure: Registered Surgical Technologist in the state of VA.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience: Level one (1) trauma experience.

• Experience: Two (2) years’ Surgical Technologist experience.
• Licensure: Registered Surgical Technologist in the state of VA.
• Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) via NCCT. Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience: Surgical Technologist experience in Ortho, Trauma, Neuro, Robotics, Vascular preferred.
