Job summary

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist 3 for the Operating Room. This full-time day shift role requires experience in Trauma, Neuro, Orthopedics, and Robotics, with two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• Two years' Surgical Technologist experience.
• Registered Surgical Technologist in VA.
• CST or TS-C certification required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates needs during procedures and unanticipated events.
• Demonstrates composure in stress or emergency situations.
• Supports flow of daily OR schedule and accepts assignments.
• Aligns with departmental goals, education, and QI processes.
• Documents at least 40 hours of self-development with 12 formal hours.

Inova Alexandria Hospital Operating Room | Surgical Technologist 3 | Full-time shift: Days experienced Tech in Trauma, Neuro, Ortho, Robotics to work (x2) 8hr 7a-3pm & (x2) 12hr 7a-7pm | Sign-on Bonus & Relocation Available.

Surgical Technologist 3 J ob Responsibilities:

• Recognizes safety hazards and initiates appropriate preventative and corrective actions.
• Anticipates the need for unscheduled procedures or unanticipated turn of events during a surgical procedure.
• Demonstrates superior knowledge in stressful and emergency situations.
• Assists with the flow of the daily operating room schedule by readily accepting assignments/reassignments.
• Demonstrates awareness of and commitment to professional and leadership responsibilities.
• Accepts responsibility for judgments and actions.
• Supports and participates in departmental goals, educational programs, and QI process.
• Documents evidence of at least 40 hours of self-development activities with a minimum of 12 formal contact hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School or GED

Experience: Two (2) years' Surgical Technologist experience.

Licensure: Registered Surgical Technologist in the state of VA.

Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) via NCCT. Basic Life Support (BLS)upon start.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience: Surgical Technologist experience with (Ortho, Trauma, Neuro, Robotics, Vascular, Thoracic).
